Now these day, heart attack is a common problem in people of all ages and especially in the age group of 35 to 55 years. It would not be wrong to say that heart attack is a life-ending as well as family-ending disease. Because in some cases more than two or three members of a family suffer from a disease like heart attack. The treatment of heart diseases is very expensive and in many cases duration their treatment lasts for a lifetime. Heart diseases affect a person in 2 ways. Firstly these heart diseases destroys them financially and second is by make them emotionally weak. Because if you look at the statistics of daily deaths due to heart attacks, you will find "how much terrible they are?"
Now, if we want to protect ourselves and our family from the heart diseases that are being treated with difficulties, then we have to acquire the right and proper knowledge about these heart diseases.

    Heart attack is also known as myocardial infarction. In fact, myocardial infarction is a medical term which is used for heart attack. If we divide the term Myocardial infarction into three parts, then Myo means muscle, cardiac means heart and infraction means damage or death.

    Over all meaning of myocardial infarction damage or death of heart muscles.

    Now we have to know, "What is the reason for the heart muscle dying or deteriorating?"

    The answer to this question is that "In the coronary arteries of the heart, blockage is produced and due to this blockage, oxygen-rich blood does not reach the heart muscle. Heart cells are destroyed due to deficiency of oxygen and this is the reason for heart attack."

    The reason of blockages is by aggregation of cholesterol (VLDL & LDL) in the arteries of heart.

    Causes of MI & Heart attack 

    1. Cholesterol:

     It has been proved from the upper discussion that the main cause of heart attack is blockage in the arteries of the heart and this blockage is made up of bad cholesterol such as very low density lipid and low density lipid. Due to such blockage, oxygen-rich blood does not reach the heart muscle, due to which the heart cells die or are destroyed due to lack of oxygen.

    2. Stress:

    When a person is suffering from stress or anxiety for a long time, then many different types of toxicity in his/her body give rise. In Fact stress is a factor that converts a healthy body into a factory of diseases. For a long time stress toxicity and other diseases are become the indirect causes of heart attack.


    The chances of heart attack in a diabetic patient is more than any other. 


    Heart burn and pain in chest are one of the symptoms of heart attack.
     

    Today, people are slowly getting more conscious about their health, one because they want to look good feel good act nicely, but another, because they want to prevent major problems, and that too heart disease is something that is so common that people want to prevent that. Various causes of heart disease, could be high cholesterol, high blood pressure valve not functioning well, thickening of arteries in the body, obesity and stress and most of these causes are because of our faulty lifestyle and fault attitude. So here are few tips which would help you to prevent varieties of these heart problems.


     

    1) Reduce your cholesterol level:

     There are 3 types of fats, saturated fats, unsaturated fats and Tran’s fats.

     As far as trans fats are concerned, totally avoid them, as far as possible and these you get from processed food, refined, food stored food, packed food, roasted food, and fried foods. 

    Saturated fats should be taken in our body but in limited quantity, it could be dairy products, like cheese milk ghee .These should be taken in a limited quantity, a spoon of ghee in a day and fresh cottage cheese could be taken in a limited quantity. 

    Third type of fat is unsaturated fat, which you get from peanuts and other nuts, seeds olive oil and so on, now this fat is supposed to be very good fat, person should take this fat because this fat really helps in removing the blockages from our system, it gives a healthy cholesterol to help heart health and very importantly, understand that we should avoid as far as possible, alcohol, smoking and non-vegetarian food.

    2) Work on your mind:

     Cardiac issue is more common in type A personalities. These are those personalities who want to do things in a rush, they want everything perfect and quick, they hurry, and worry and that creates the whole problem with their system. Their thinking is very very fast, they want to perform and so on so. Here what is required a person has to calm himself down, person can’t expect perfection in the outside world, he has to maintain perfection within himself, he should do things perfectly but expecting from others is going to bring the chaos in his life and of this type behavior blood pressure is going to shoot up, cholesterol is going to shoot up and that will create problems for him. 


    Now the solution of this problem is “Yoga”. Yoga always says that do things perfectly but in a calm state of mind and to bring calmness in your body, these are meditative techniques available which person should do very regularly. One is Sukhasana another could be Nispanda Bhav, so such habits we have to form in life because these are very sensitive times when usually heart attacks occur. Even during sleep if you have eaten very heavy food, more than half of your stomach, it is going to be a risky factor, so try and eat little with calm mind and then sleep after 3 hours of your last meal.

    All these things should be a regular discipline of your life.

    3) Yoga Asanas:

     Certain asanas person should be performing regularly to see proper circulation is there in your whole body and definitely in your extremities so that your heart doesn’t have to strain too much and on the upper side of your body to keep your heart healthy

     Among the asanas, first “Yashtikasana”, stick pose, another posture, “Pawanmuktasana”, third asana is called “Supta vakrasana”, and fourth asana is “Hastapadangushthasana”. 


    Yoga emphasizes on keeping body tension free, the tension in our body is received first in our abdominal region, so this abdomen has to be kept relaxed and flexible. Here is one “Pranayama” which would help you to do that. Lie down on you back, fold your legs and then keep your one arm on your stomach, while breathing in move your abdominal muscle little up, while breathing out push your abdomen muscles in, another posture for relaxation is very popular which is called as “Shavasana”.

    All these tips which we have given, understand we have to apply them in to our life, unless you do, you won’t benefit, learn to work without stress and tension, without stress you can work much more and much happier and have a right attitude towards your life, try and see that you discipline your body, have your routine healthily and properly and try and see that you take care of every part of your body thoroughly well.
